Do you want to know how to make Myanmar Htamane? Here you got the recipes: Htamane (ထ မ နဲ ပြဲ) is made of sticky rice and sesame seeds. One large pan requires 4 small baskets of sticky rice, 20 coconuts, one small basket each of peanut and sesame seeds, 4 kilo of oil, 0.32 kilo of ginger and some salt.

Thingyan to Thinbeer

We should change the name of Thingyan festival to Thinbeer or Water Festival to Beer Festival. Actually beer is nothing to do with Thingyan. Thingyan is pouring water on each other that symbolize purification, your old deed, mistake, sin is purified by pouring water, not by beer. When the modern culture influence too much, the essence of festival and culture can be vanished. Be aware young people!

2012 Thingyan Over View - Video
