Peace Talks - Myanmar Government and Kachin KIO

(Yangon) : Myanmar government has welcomed a ceasefire and peace talks with the Kachin Independence Organization (KIO) in the Kachin state.
The government said the proposal could lead to the resumption of peace talks following weeks of renewed violence in a region that borders China and India.
At the same time, a source close to MyanmarLife said that
Kachin's a new round of peace talks with Burmese government will be hosted by Chinese government in Ruili Town on 4th Feb 2013. The Chinese government will take a role as a witness and mediate during the meeting.
