Intel - the semiconductor manufacturer’s microprocessors and hard drives will now distribute officially in Myanmar through a distribution agreement with US marketing group Ingram Micro Inc and its local agent KMD.

Intel also said it would explore the possibility of running a training programme for Myanmar teachers to set up and operate PCs in their schools and improve digital literacy.
A spokesman for the chip maker added it has no plans yet to establish a permanent presence in Myanmar but would focus on building business through its external distribution agents. (
