Toyo-Thai Company to Play in Myanmar - The Myanmar electric power authorities have signed a memorandum of understanding with one more foreign companies, the
Toyo-Thai Corporation Public Company, on conducting feasibility study for a natural-gas-fired and combined cycle power plant project to be built in Yangon' Ahlone township, official media reported Sunday.
It is the fifth MoU of its kind signed on Saturday with foreign companies after those for generating power from wind and from gas- fired ones.
According to the MoU, the Toyo-Thai company is to make feasibility study for a 100-megawatt (mw) combined cycle power plant and environment and social impact.
