Does Phyo Wai Aung Deserve Death Sentence

Myanmar Court sentences Phyo Wai Aung, 33, an engineer, to death for a bombing at a Thingyan festival in April 15, 2010 that killed 10 people and wounded 170.
His Lawyer Kyaw Hoe siad,
“These are the highest sentences ever. We are disappointed as the court sentenced him because of evidence submitted by the authorities which they received through torture. We will submit an appeal to Divisional Court."
The Hong Kong-based Asian Human Rights Commission described Phyo Wai Aung’s trial as “patently flawed and unjust” and said it involved torture and fabricated evidence. Does he deserve death sentence?
